What Is Connett Bowl?

The Harold Connett Bowl is an annual sailboat race and regatta hosted by the Shinecock Yacht Club in Quogue, NY.   The Bowl was originally presented to Shinnecock Yacht Club in 1946 by Harold and Louise Connett in memory of Harold Jr. who perished serving as a Navy pilot in World War II.  It has been sailed every year since in SS, Sunfish, JY and Celebrity classes.
